Easily the best, and my favorite, of the three Mad Max films so far. This one felt like a complete movie. The story was more rich, the characters the most developed (including Max), the action was the best yet, the comedy made sense, and the production value was more along the lines of what I'm used to watching in today's era. And we get Tina Turner! What more do you want?
And yet, I remember this one having mixed reviews when it came out. I checked the rating on IMDb and it still isn't seen as a good movie in the series. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's timing or expectations or… I don't know. It's late. I don't really care what other people think anyway. Just trying to understand.
